17th October 2008 to 19th October 2008
Millennium Gallery
Additional Information: View the work live Friday 2-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 11am-5pm
A writing, drawing and performance project. Christopher Hall and Alexander Kelly make films and give performances, tour internationally and have their works shown at film festivals and on TV.
But what they have always really wanted to do is write and draw comics. However knowing a lot about comic does not mean that you know anything about producing graphic novels yourself.
"A Man Amid the Wreckage" will be their début graphic novel. As part of 'Off the Shelf 2008' they have 3 days to produce the first chapter. They have an idea - an "end of the world" story that combines their favourite themes about books, numbers, linguistics and out of date technology. Join them as they translate synopsis to script, script to layout and layout to finished page.
You can view the work on-line at http://www.amanamidthewreckage.blogspot.com
This event is also part of The Big Draw.
