Former Sheffielder Jethro Soutar has written the first biography of Gael Garcia Bernal who is one of the most well-known faces of Latin American Cinema. He has starred in such films as "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Babel". Gael has also done much to promote awareness of poverty in Latin America as well as fair trade. The book is an engaging story which also covers the rise of Latin America's pioneer film-makers.
"Bad Education", a film by Pedro Almodóvar and starring Gael Garcia Bernal, will be screened following the talk.
