Intim8 Festival: The Ethics of Progress
3rd February 2009
Lyceum Theatre
Start Time: 8:00pm
"The Ethics of Progress" is a mind melting, jargon free, whistle stop tour of leading edge quantum physics. Unlimited Theatre’s artistic director Jon Spooner explains how his understanding of the world and everything in it was radically altered by his conversations with Professor Vlatko Vedral who heads up the Quantum Information Science Group at the University of Leeds. No really, he does.
The Ethics of Progress pushes theoretical physics into real life situations and imagines the world as it might be in the not-too-distant future.
"I went into this show with a heavy heart thinking the subject would be over my head. I came out wanting to change the world. Brilliant." (The Guardian)
